Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. At the age of five years old and moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled in her first Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor when she was six. For several years, she attended the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing, dancing and acting. By the time she turned 10 years old, Emma took part in numerous Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the film adaptation to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time in 1999. Casting agents discovered Emma through her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint following auditions for 8 times. They were selected as the 3 leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first screen appearance was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's premiere in the year 2001. It was also one of the top-rated films in 2001. Opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. It was highly acclaimed by experts, and also by the performance of three stars. The highly distributed British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the film.
